1. Paul Rigg in the blue MGF number 77 on his way to a Class win in the first MG Cockshoot race of the day.
2. Paul and wife Margaret before they both battled it out in the second Cockshoot race.
3. The battle for position on the first lap at Hawthorn bend in the second race with Paul second in shot in the blue
MGF and the Midget to the right about to demolish the track marker. Paul went on to win his class in this race as
well and as a result, the overall Class win for the season. Paul’s reason for winning his Class: “My alternator
mount broke just before the first race so I was running without any charging in both races. That's why I went so
fast - I had to get to the finish before the battery went flat!”
4. The same bunch with the up-ended track marker in the air, just visible to the right of the 6th car - Nothing stops
a Midget!
5. Margaret Farquhar Rigg just behind her contender for 2nd place, Helen Waddington. Unfortunately for
Margaret that's how the race finished after an exciting tussle.
